PIDA supports women and young people who need realistic pathways to income, confidence and household security.

Women-led enterprise support

The organisation reports providing mentoring, business coaching, enterprise creation and network-development support to more than 80 underserved women-led businesses in Busia District.

Rural entrepreneurship

Planned and continuing training targets single mothers and aspiring entrepreneurs working in retail, food processing, mobile money, agriculture and related community businesses. Topics include business planning, budgeting, saving, customer research, market access, technology and financial literacy.

The objective is not simply to start businesses, but to strengthen the competence, confidence and connections required for long-term sustainability.
